Sammie was fantastic to work with. We worked closely on a few projects over the years, and her curiosity, thoughtfulness, attention to detail, and reliability (especially when we were under the gun on a deadline) were a huge asset to our team.

When Sammie joined our team, our level of process and rigor in how we approached a lot of our work (especially around handoffs between product/design/engineering) had not kept pace with our team's growth. Sammie helped our whole team level up, bringing to bear her previous experience when advocating for changes. She also demonstrated her thoughtfulness and emotional intelligence in helping us forward as an organization, taking the time to understand how we got to where we were and helping us change iteratively. Nothing ever felt forced.

Choosing to hire Sammie is the single best professional decision I have ever made. I mean that completely. She brought an energy and a level of talent to Audius that changed the way our team worked and raised the bar for what great design looks like.

Sammie has a rare ability that very few designers ever develop. She can hold creative ambition and practical constraints at the exact same time. She is able to think far outside the box and come up with bold imaginative solutions but she is equally capable of working within tight limits and still producing something elegant minimal and thoughtful. That balance is incredibly hard to find and she does it naturally.

She cares deeply about the work. You can feel it in her attention to detail and in the pride she takes in making sure every part of a project is intentional. She is very process minded and very strategic in the way she approaches problems. She understands direction and tradeoffs. She brings clarity when everything feels noisy or complicated.

I have learned so much from her over the past few years. Her dedication her consistency and her way of thinking have shaped me as a designer and as a leader. I am genuinely grateful for everything she has contributed and for the level of care she brings to everything she touches.

On top of all that she is an absolute joy to work with. Down to earth steady collaborative patient and just a genuinely good human being. She is the kind of teammate who makes everyone around her better.

Sammie is one of those teammates that extends the culture. Sammie is a strong designer. She’s decisive and has a strong sense of direction and intention.
